Synopsis |
- |
You've heard of reality TV
right? Well...this is reality film.
The cameras follow a filmmaker through the process of making THIS movie as
that process ultimately becomes the movie.
I
Am DB will show a transition from the very low end, no budget, DV,
amateur look to a polished, high quality, HD and then 35mm film with the
typical Hollywood look and feel of a large scale production with a sizeable
budget; a real-time account of the budget at the time of the making of the
film. It will also show the journey of
the director to the number one spot on the IMDb Pro
StarMeter from
an unknown celebrity state. Currently in production in Indianapolis,
California and New York and wherever else the journey demands. |

I worked out a product
placement type deal with Jeff at
The Bike Wave.
He provided a brand new
Diamondback Wildwood Citi
bicycle, helmet, bike hanger hooks, and The Bike Wave
t-shirt. So begins my weight loss program and
another type of transition for the film. This
bike has a very smooth ride. I rode it for about
an hour after I left the store. It's NICE!
Thank you for your support Jeff. I would
encourage everyone to check out The Bike Wave store
and website. They offer great friendly and
knowledgeable service and know their stuff when it
comes to anything bike related. |

Lisa
from Mornings On IMC (Indy's
Music Channel) called me and said that
I could pick up the master copy of the interview I did
with Deacon back in December so that I may edit it
into this film. |
|
|
 |
I took
the BetaSP tape from IMC over to Larry White at
North Street Media
where he agreed to transfer the interview to MiniDV as
a service to the film. Thank you for your
support Larry. |

It is
one of my goals during this film to show another type
of transition...and that is one of self improvement.
At the start of this movie I weighed about 235.
I would like to get my weight down to the 180-190lb
area. So...I went down to the local bike shop,
The Bike Wave to
see if they would be interested in contributing to
this movie in the form of a bike. The owner
Jeff, said that he would get back with me by
Wednesday. |

I made some last minute arrangements with Tim
Richardson, chairman of the 3rd annual
Independent Video &
Filmmakers Festival. I was
able to secure a table and TV and premiere the trailer
for Phase 1 of this film. I got a lot of great
responses on the trailer and the movie concept itself. |

I have
finished the trailer to the Phase 1 portion of this
movie. It really turned out well considering the
quality that we were dealing with in this section of
the movie. I will be uploading it to the site by
early next week. |

The
Indy Men's Magazine
party was a huge success. The camera and I met a
lot of fine people as well as make connections with
those who were interested in helping out with this
film. Not to mention that it was a lot of fun.
Great content for this film. |
 |
 |
I was
fortunate enough to have
John Blankenship
help out with sound during the party. I was
mic'd up and John was running a boom to capture
some superb dialogue. |
